Law Alumni Weekend 2018

October 5-7, 2018

We hope you will join us for our annual Law Alumni Weekend. It will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with other alumni, former professors and administrators. We’ll have fun, food, friends, football, and much more, but it won’t be the same without you! Registration is now open!

We’ll kick off the weekend with a Women in Law reception, followed by the Dean’s Welcome Reception Friday afternoon. Friday evening reunion classes (3s and 8s) will be holding class gatherings and the AAJ and NTT trial teams will have their first ever reunion. Saturday morning you can join faculty and staff members for breakfast in Worrell Commons, and Saturday* (game time TBA) we’ll have a tailgate for the WFU vs. Clemson football game, prior to cheering the Deacons to victory. Last year’s tailgate, sponsored annually by the Rose Council, had an attendance of over 220 alumni, family and friends! *Note – you may purchase game tickets during the online Law Alumni Weekend registration process.

New to the schedule this year, on Sunday, PILO will be hosting its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament in honor of Don Castleman. The tournament will be an 18-hole shotgun format with a silent auction and raffle afterwards. All proceeds of the PILO Golf Tournament directly benefit students working in unpaid public interest positions. More details to come on this event. Please note: there is a separate registration page to participate in this event or to sponsor this event. Or both! Please make sure to sign up to participate in this great event as well.

Although we welcome everyone back to Law Alumni Weekend, we will have a special emphasis on our reunion classes ending in 3s and 8s. Volunteers from each class will help plan a class dinner/event for Friday evening following the Dean’s Welcome Reception. If you would like to volunteer to help plan an event for your class, please email Megan Ratley, assistant director for law alumni engagement. She will assist all volunteers in the planning process, including suggesting locations and sending email invitations.

A full schedule of events is below.

So now it’s time to get to action, reserve your hotel room, encourage your friends and classmates to attend, and REGISTER ONLINE TODAY!

Please visit the tabs on the left for more information about the weekend.
