Alumnus Wins Corporate Leadership Award

Tom Sager (JD ’76) and du Pont de Nemours & Company, Inc. will receive the national Corporate Leadership Award from the Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution in November. After graduating from Wake Forest law school, Tom Sager joined DuPont as an attorney in the labor and securities group. He advanced in DuPont Legal to become associate general counsel and chief litigation counsel in 1994 prior to being named to his current position in 1999. Tom is credited for helping pioneer the DuPont Convergence and Law Firm Partnering Program which is regarded as a benchmark in the legal profession for its innovative approach to the business of practicing law.

The Corporate Leadership Award is presented at an event in New York that draws approximately 500 attendees representing the top corporations, law firms, scholars, and public institutions in the country. The funds raised by the Corporate Leadership Award Dinner support the educational and research programs of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution.
